Grants Pass School District is continuing the program called READY! for Kindergarten this spring. The program invites families of 4 and 5 year olds who will be entering Kindergarten September of 2016. READY! for Kindergarten teams teachers and families together to help children be ready for a happy and successful school experience.
Grants Pass High School is the recipient of an $11,748 Nike School Innovation Grant to support the AVID program. AVID’s research-based strategies and curriculum provide educators with training to better prepare student for success in high school, college or a career – especially student who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
Grants Pass, OR — Grants Pass School District is one of four districts in Oregon and 433 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board with placement on the 7th Annual AP® District Honor Roll. To be included on the 7th Annual Honor Roll, Grants Pass School District had to, since 2014, increase the number of students participating in AP while also increasing or maintaining the percentage of students earning AP Exam scores of 3 or higher. Reaching these goals shows that this district is successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students who are ready for AP.

As part of the Be College Ready program, the Oregon College Savings Plan, in partnership with the Grants Pass School District, will be putting on an informational presentation about the benefits of saving for a higher education followed by a presentation about financial aid.
Grants Pass High School students - through partnerships with RCC and SOU - save $350,000 in tuition last year with an additional $119,000 in cost savings from AP Exams results in nearly $470,000 in tuition savings!
