Gladiola students are committed to building their reputation as a community school. While the Business Internship program makes Gladiola unique, the various volunteer projects give Gladiola heart.
Autumn Raking – Gladiola students rake leaves from neighborhood yards every fall.
Sparrow Club – Last year students collaborated with SOFCU and raised $2,500 for our Sparrow, Emily. Altogether, Gladiola students performed nearly 300 hours of community service to help with Emily's medical bills.
Keep GP Clean – Several times during the year students descended onto Gladiola Drive and Agness Ave. to pick up litter.
Grower’s Market – In the spring, students volunteer to help shoppers at Grower’s Market carry items to their car.
Operation Valentine – Students make Valentines for the residents of The Suites Assisted Living and visit on February 14, to deliver their cards and share an afternoon with their elders.
Gladiola is very fortunate to have entered into some wonderful partnerships with outside organizations such as the Caveman Kiwanis and the Grants Pass Rotary Club who enrich the lives of our students. On the horizon are new service-learning projects, as we will strive to build joint ventures with SOLV (Stop Oregon Litter and Vandalism) and the Grants Pass Humane Society.
