Ryan Lackey

I was born in Glendale, California and moved to Grants Pass in third grade. I'm about half Korean-American which means, yes, I do love rice. I'm a big St. Louis Cardinals and Rams fan, and I will support Tim Tebow until the day I die. In my spare time, I take long walks on the beach and like to yell at Tom Brady and Alex Rodriguez on televison. My greatest goal in life is to run marathons, climb mountains, and become rich enough to afford season tickets. Oh, and cats are super cool.

Chiara Marzi

Chiara Marzi attends Grants Pass High School as a sophomore. She enjoys reading, writing, photography, and anything related to music.

Alex Schulte

This is my second year writing for Scroll and I am a junior. I certainly delight in scripting for this tabloid. My colleagues and I have a jolly good time picking brilliant stories. I adore traveling, consuming food and possessing a feline. My lessons and extracurricular undertakings keep me busy, nevertheless I try to find unused time to troll the internet and play a plentiful amount of Skyrim and Gears of War. As far as music goes, I enjoy many alternative bands such as Awolnation, Company of Thieves, and Broken Bells. I also enjoy a good classic artist like Billy Joel. I would consider myself a friendly, considerate human individual who loves snow skiing and anything made out of cheese.

Geoffrey DeJanvier

I am a junior at GPHS and have been writing for the scroll for two years now, and have recently joined the leadership class and the Interact club. I enjoy writing world news and opinion pieces. I am very bad at reviewing things like music and movies, but books are another story. I have one sister Olivia, and two dogs.

Hannah Intihar

Hi! I’m Hannah Intihar. I’m sixteen years old and ever since I passed the “I wanna be a rock star” phase of life I’ve known I wanted writing to be a large part of my life and my future career. I love reading and writing although I’m not much for the arithmetic part. My dream school is close to home and eco-friendly so naturally I’ve got my heart set on SOU. I really enjoy being a part of the Scroll staff.

Josiah Coulter

A senior at GPHS and the third of four children, Josiah Coulter is the primary entertainment columnist for The Scroll. He enjoys music, movies, writing, culture, and studying wildlife. He plans on attending Oregon State University in fall of 2012 and will major in Fisheries and Wildlife Science. He’s a somewhat shy, happy person that loves life, his family, and God.

Natalie Justema

"Natalie Justema is a junior at GPHS and she's been working on The Scroll for the last two years. She is involved in many school activities, ranging from mock trial to tennis. To let off the stress from her rigorous homework load she likes to hang out with a close group of friends. Natalie has written quite a few articles about students from our own school that are doing things that stand out - so let her know if you know someone exceptional!

Shan's Bio

Shan Lansing is a very dedicated student, an avid swimmer, and a perfectionist at times. Although this is her first year on the scroll staff, she has done an incredible job as one of our layout editors. Shan aspires to become a doctor so you better be nice, in a couple of years she could be the one saving your life!

Talia Miller

My name is Talia Miller. I am an absolute delight of a person to be around, always happy and smiling. I enjoy unicorns, rainbows, and long walks on the beach. I’m also a great lover of disco and Jane Fonda movies.

Zach Lycett  and Kodi Thompson

Zach and Kodi have joined the Scroll staff this year as our lovely business department.  What a Suite life it is to have them! They take care of our advertising and webpage design.  On their free time they enjoy hanging out, going hiking, camping, and numerous other outdoor activities.

Carolina Saladin

I am a 16 year old female born on a naval base at Yokosuka, Japan. I absolutely love diversity and writing stories on serious topics like current criminal reports. Currently, I am part of the fabulous Speech and Debate team as well as Scroll of course, and last year I participated in the most awesome swim team ever! Although I am very opinionated and outspoken, I do enjoy listening to other people’s unique perspectives, however if someone speaks to me while I have my headphones on I am probably not listening. Listening to music is how I hype myself up for the next period and am witnessed with it on often in the halls. I listen to new artists in the R&B, rap, or hip hop area but I prefer older artists whose songs never fade such as Mario, 2Pac, Keyshia Cole, BoysIIMen, and so on. And last but not least, I have a strange obsession of a pursuit to stop human trafficking even though it is probably really slim, that is my dream.

Sarah Dole

This is my first year editing the Scroll, and I am having a blast. Predictably, I love to write and read, but my true soul-food lies in dance and piano. I love coffee, elephants, and honesty. I'm usually an open book, but am finding it pretty uncomfortable to write about myself, so I'll wrap it up in saying that I have a lot left to learn.

Taylor Eldridge

Hey everyone, I’m Taylor. I’m a junior and it’s my first year writing for Scroll. I like to write, and I love to read. Generally, I spend my free time with my best friends, making memories and all that good stuff. I have a mustache on my car, it’s fantastic, but also disgusting. I believe in fairy tales and like eating spaghetti. Well, that’s all I have to say. Later ‘gators.
