Job Goals:

9. Cooperates with the school administration in providing musical programs for school productions, civic functions, and graduation ceremonies.

10.  Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities as assigned.

11.  Participates cooperatively with the appropriate administrators on the departmental and building levels for professional development.

Description of position:
This is a Supervisory Management level position with full operational responsibility for Nutrition and Food Services and Warehouse operations. This position ensures the efficient and cost effective delivery of Food Service that complies with State and Federal programs to include purchasing, budget preparation, staff evaluations, scheduling, and supervision of Food Service positions. Required to develop and maintain program procedures, department systems, and efficient work standards. Has full budgetary responsibility for Food Service funds. Responsible for directing the activities and operation of the Nutrition/Food Services Department including the leadership of all kitchens, staff, purchasing, inventory control, budget administration, menu management, and site meal service. In addition, Supervisor is responsible for the full operation of the warehouse facility and staff. Follows procurement policies for ordering necessary warehouse custodial and school supplies for the District. Provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Business Director.

 

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, or other related degree or equivalent job related experience and training in menu planning, food purchasing, preparation, serving of foods, Federal and State guidelines and/or regulations. Obtain or ability to obtain a School Serve Safe Certification. Is a member of or eligible for membership of National School Nutrition Association, and Oregon School Nutrition Association and holds a level one or higher certification from the associations. Maintain a valid Oregon Driver's license and meet current District vehicle insurance qualifications for driving coverage. Obtain a current Oregon Food Handlers card and satisfactory completion of other required safety/sanitation courses. Professional office communications, practices, procedures and use of equipment. Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Access, Excel, Power Point and Word. Professional specialization in principals and practices of school food service management, knowledge of budget and purchasing practices, techniques, methods, equipment and procedures related to the school foodservice industry. Knowledge of custodial and school supplies. Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation.

 

Salary range: $72,264 - $97,611 commensurate with experience.
