I am confident that my class will challenge your child to learn and grow this year.  Class work, participation and group work are crucial to success in a math class.  If you miss a class, you will receive an extra day for every day you missed to make up the work.  When absent it is important that your child attempts to do the homework the night it is assigned so they don't get behind.  Practice work (homework) is another vital element in a math class. Students must practice their new skills to succeed in this class.  Practice work (homework) will be given approximately four days a week. I understand that family time is precious and will do my best to send as little work home as possible.  Late work is always accepted, I just ask that it doesn't become a habit.
