Dear North Families, We are now about one month into the first semester! The majority of technology issues have subsided and we are in full on learning mode. It takes a team effort to ensure success especially during this time of virtual learning. There are a couple of great ways to follow along with what your children are doing in the classroom. If you have not already done so, please consider connecting with the Canvas Parent App and getting PowerSchool Parent access so you can keep track of your child’s progress in classes, their attendance, and access quick links to teacher’s email.
Good afternoon Parents and Students, Starting this afternoon, around 4:00pm, you will find student schedules available online via PowerSchool. Attached are instructions on how to set up Parent Access to PowerSchool. Most returning 7th and 8th grade families will have this information, but it may be brand new to many of our 6th grade families. Please follow the steps listed and call next week to receive your student’s Access ID and Access Password from our front office. Student schedules are still in draft form as we balance classes.

If her self-confidence is lagging, ask, “Which friends make you feel good?” and “Do any friends put you down?” Suggest that she hang on to friends in the first category—and rethink how much time she spends with those in the second.
Note on Sports Registration
In light of the recent announcement regarding continuation of Comprehensive Distance Learning through the 1st semester, 2nd quarter of school; middle school sport seasons will be postponed until after the new year. North Middle School will communicate about proposed 2021 sports seasons in early December.
