Personal Training class is a combination of fitness and nutrition.
During the fitness portion of this course, students will learn about
- various forms of fitness
- intensity of exercise
- the benefits of a consistent exercise routine
- and how to develop and follow their own individual fitness plan.
The nutrition portion of this course takes place in a computer lab. Students will learn about
- the food groups
- food labels
- and analyze their own diet.
Throughout this course, students will use a variety of methods discover and present information. The written portion of this course is on-line, using a management system called Schoology. Written assignments, assessments, resources, and links are all organized in Schoology for student access. Schoology can be accessed using any computer with internet access.
