GPHS students are checking out more books and using our academic databases more than previous years - by a lot! Database usage is up 55% from last year, and the number of books checked out is up 60% from two years ago. With an ever-growing body of research that supports the power of reading for pleasure, (including a direct link to increased cognitive development), the increase is great news for Grants Pass students!
Our 10th grade AVID students did a class community service project. First period made dog toys out of felt, and second period made dog toys out of felt and no bake healthy dog treats. All items were donated to Shelter Friends for the dogs and cats at the shelter. Shelter Friends board members Leslie McLane, Secretary and Tana Mason, President were here to accept the donation.
