Mrs. Roe -- First Grade

"Teachers inspire the smallest hearts to grow big enough to change the world." -- Paula J. Fox

I cannot imagine doing anything that I would love more than teaching. I believe every child is unique with a special gift to give to the world. I also believe every child can learn and it is my job to help each one grow and become the best they can be.

I was born and raised in Grants Pass. My husband Steve and I have three dogs -- Abby, Molly, and Bonnie. Two are therapy dogs. We also have two Guinea pigs named Lewis and Clark, a Russian Tortoise named Ivan, and a Box Turtle named Winston.

I enjoy spending time reading, riding my bike, working in my garden, or traveling. In the winter, we like to go snowmobiling at Diamond Lake.

I earned my degree in Elementary Education at Western Oregon in Monmouth. I went back to school and earned a Masters in Education and a Reading Endorsement in June 2008. I love reading and I love teaching kids to read.
