Statistics is a powerful subject, and it is one of my passions. Bringing my passion for the subject together with my desire to teach allows you to earn up to 8 college credits for Mth 243 and Mth 244 through SOU. My goal is for you to use Statistics to make informed decisions using data. To use solid statistical thinking which include a few key elements:
1) Anecdotal claims can be refuted with statistical analysis.
2) Poorly collected data are not useful.
3) Watch out for lurking variables in a study.
4) Results in statistics are not certain.
5) Correlation does not imply causation.
Statistics Through Applications
Welcome Statistics students! This year you will never ask: "When am I ever going to use this math?" This course is an introductory course in Statistics. It will prepare you for success as well as helping you make informed decisions using data. Statistics can provide an understanding of the world around us.
Our goal this year is to help you learn many concepts from Geometry while helping you become a great problem solver. Now then, lets get going and see what great things you can learn! If you have questions, please come see me during Intervention Time. Work hard and perservere!
HELP! I need assistance with my homework.
