Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Wright

I am looking forward to working with your child this year. I hope it will be a great experience for all of us. Please review the classroom rules, supplies list and grading policy below.

I am confident that my class will challenge your child to learn and grow this year. Class work, participation and group work are crucial to success in a math class. If you miss a class, you will receive an extra day for every day you missed to make up the work. When absent it is important that your child attempts to do the homework the night it is assigned so they don't get behind. Practice work (homework) is another vital element in a math class. Students must practice their new skills to succeed in this class. Practice work (homework) will be given approximately four days a week. I understand that family time is precious and will do my best to send as little work home as possible. Late work is always accepted, I just ask that it doesn't become a habit.

I hope to help your child appreciate the wonders of mathematics as we work together to have a great year! If you have any questions or concerns please email me at

How to behave in class:
The key is to respect the teacher and other students. Students who do not behave appropriately will first receive a verbal warning, then be sent to the hall to fill out a behavior form - to be signed by a parent and returned the following day. If the behavior continues the student will receive a referral and the parent(s) will be called.

What not to bring to class:
Inappropriate items for the class include; cell phone, candy, drinks (other than water), magazines, personal letters, games, toys, homework for other classes, etc. These items will be confiscated and kept until the end of the day.
