District 7 Announces First Principal for GPFLEX

The Grants Pass School District has hired Natosha Savage as principal of the district’s new K-12 flexible learning school, GPFLEX.

A Southern Oregon native, Ms. Savage comes to the District with more than 20 years of teaching experience throughout our region. She most recently served as a high school English teacher at Crater Academy of Health and Public Services. She has certifications in elementary education, as well as secondary English Language Arts and Social Studies.

"I am excited and humbled to have the opportunity to join the Grants Pass School District as it launches an innovative, flexible learning opportunity for students and their families," Natosha Savage says. “I truly believe in the vision of GPFLEX and cannot wait to team with teachers and families to make it an exceptional learning experience for all of our students."

“We’re excited to bring Natosha on board with District 7,” Superintendent Kirk Kolb says. “She has expressed some very creative ideas and thinking to customize education for students based on student strengths and interests.”

Ms. Savage will officially begin her position on August 1, 2021, but she is already working to connect with staff and prepare for the 2021-22 school year.
