Grants Pass High School announces new head football coach

The Grants Pass High School athletic department is pleased to announce Brad Page as the new head varsity football coach for Grants Pass High School. Mr. Page is a graduate of GPHS where he was a member of the varsity football team. He continued his education at Brigham Young University and has spent the last 6 years coaching football at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire (2021-present) and Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona (2017-2021).

“We’re very excited about what Coach Page can bring to our program, and our community.” GPHS Athletic Director, Clay Rounsaville says. “He has a genuine love for the players, the game, and Grants Pass, and we look forward to watching him grow as a coach and build our program.”

“I’m extremely humbled and grateful for this opportunity to be the next head coach for Grants Pass Cavemen Football. This is a dream come true to come back to my alma mater where I played and went to school.” Brad Page writes. “I look forward to earning your trust, building Cavemen football into a force to be reckoned with, and giving back to a community that has done so much for me in my life.”

Coach Page started coaching football in 2009 as a head coach for the Boys and Girls Club. He went on to coach at Chaparral High School as the special team’s coordinator, defensive coordinator, and then head freshman football coach and offensive coordinator. During his time at Saint Anselm College, he served as Director of Football Operations and nickelback coach.

Page will fill the role previously held by John Musser, who led the Cavemen football program since 2008. Coach Page will begin meeting with players and selecting coaches to fill out his staff when he relocates to Grants Pass this spring.

I’m extremely humbled and grateful for this opportunity to be the next head coach for Grants Pass Cavemen Football! This is a dream come true to come back to my alma mater where I played and went to school. I want to thank God, my wife and her endless support, and Mr. Rounsaville and the administration for this unbelievable opportunity. I was fortunate to play under Coach Musser and Coach Blanchard where I learned what Caveman football is all about: playing with class, being a part of something greater than yourself, being tougher and outworking your opponent, and playing to win. Coming back and seeing the vision that the administration has was very important to me. I know that the foundation is solid for this program. I’ve coached all around the country and the Grants Pass Football community support, leadership, school, and facilities are second to none.

I can’t wait to get started! I look forward to meeting individually with each player on the team and getting to know them personally. We will set goals for the future: academically, for football, and for life after high school. We will build a culture of love, trust, and respect with a focus and goal of winning. I want our players to be proud to be a Cavemen and to look back fondly on their experience here, knowing that they were a part of something special. I want the players, school, and entire community to know that I will give everything I have to this program. We will compete at the highest level possible and do it the right way. We will serve the community, set a great example, and work to become the best possible people - now and in the future. I look forward to earning your trust, building Cavemen football into a force to be reckoned with, and giving back to a community that has done so much for me in my life. Thank you! Go Cavemen!!

Sincerely,

Brad Page
