School Board appoints Brenda Aguilera to vacant board seat

On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, the Grants Pass School Board selected Brenda Aguilera to fill the open seat on the school board. The position was left vacant in February when Member Todd Neville resigned.

Aguilera was one of three finalists who presented before the board during its regular meeting Tuesday. A total of 14 applicants applied for the position.

Aguilera is a Program Manager at Project Youth+, a local nonprofit that prepares low-income, first-generation and underrepresented youth for success in K-12 school, and their post-secondary plans. She currently serves on the Grants Pass School District 7 Budget Committee.

Aguilera will fill position #7 through June 30, 2023.
