Parent Advisory Council

Grants Pass School District's Board of Directors has established the Parent Advisory Council to provide guidance to the Board of Education on issues such as proposed curriculum changes, instructional resources, federal programs and district improvement goals. Members of the Parent Advisory Council analyze issues of major importance and weigh proposals pertaining to two or more schools. The Council is asked to reflect, respond to, and provide input on relevant issues as identified by staff, principals, or the school board.

Annually, representatives from each school are appointed to meet on a regular basis. Membership includes parent representatives: with one from each elementary school, two from each middle school, three from Grants Pass High School and one from Gladiola High School. Meetings are facilitated by the Directors of Curriculum and Instruction and are held on the first Thursday of each month unless otherwise specified.
