Special Education Services

No special education services are provided by the school district beyond high school

Is a standard diploma accepted at community colleges/vocational schools?

Yes

Is a standard diploma accepted at 4-year colleges and universities?

Accepted with 2 years of Foreign Language

Not accepted without 2 years of a Foreign Language, but appeals may be considered

Will a standard diploma meet federal student aid eligibility?

Yes

Will a standard diploma meet state and local student aid eligibility?

Yes

Will a standard diploma qualify for enlistment in the military?

May qualify to enlist in any branch of military with qualifying ASVAB score

May be provided until student receives a standard diploma or through the school year in which the student turns 21

Is a modified diploma accepted at community colleges/vocational schools?

Accepted by some but students may find it difficult to meet entrance criteria – may need to complete additional requirements

Is a modified diploma accepted at 4-year colleges and universities?

Possibly accepted with a waiver or after the successful completion of an associate degree

Will a modified diploma meet federal student aid eligibility?

Yes

Will a modified diploma meet state and local student aid eligibility?

Yes

Will a modified diploma qualify for enlistment in the military?

Students must check with military branches to determine eligibility

Four year colleges and Universities do not accept an extended diploma.  Students who receive an extended diploma will find it difficult to meet entrance criteria required by colleges.
